Peanuts

Description

Collaborating with Lianne is invariably a fascinating experience. The genesis of our film "Peanut" traced back to a nightmare of hers, in which she found herself attacked by a figure in black while playing with a claw machine outdoors. The vividness of this dream compelled her to propose it as the opening scene for our new project. This initial spark led us into the development of the screenplay, where Lianne and I discovered that the narrative was far more personal than initially anticipated. It explored her fears and anxieties about the men in her life, intertwined with her missing for her late father. The story unfolds dream-like, each layer revealing deeper emotional truths. Lianne's films often resemble a dream, marked by a distinctive unease that transcends verbal or written description. It's this unsettling quality, coupled with the blurred lines between dreams and reality, that distinguishes her work, allowing it to stand out distinctly in the cinematic landscape.
